Pretty safe bet regrettably checking those with an ohm meter usually does not yield good results,the only foolproof way to test those is to replace it with a known good component.
im just wondering what would cause that kind of damage. did the flywheel come loose or is the crankshaft having excessive play or did the stator just fall apart and then get caught up on the flywheel.
