IM STOKED!! goin to look at js550 on thursday and maybe purchase it. itll be my first. just figured id let every know i was stoked. :naughty:
Awesome, I just got my 1st ski a few monthes ago, it's a 89'. Gotta get my title situated, then get a new carb and battery. Good luch with your find, post pics of course, make sure it has a title. You know where Clermont is?
the ski looks good. before you buy it ask for a compression test with you there. so you know hes not bullting you on whats done with the motor. 650 isnt a bad price but you should be able to get it lower. 550 is a great starter ski. good luck with that
You got 1 heck of a good deal bro, looks really clean, the gash shouldn't be a prob, sounds like you've got it handled. I got mine for $200, but still needs a few touch-ups. Lucky....Just to give you a price idea, this is what i bought 3 weeks ago. I have been working on the damaged nose, and am almost done. I got it looking very good with a $8 fiberglass kit from walmart. I just need to shoot is with some paint, then I is going in the water this weekend.
I just picked up this 1994 550sx off of Craigslist for $400 and it runes great. It is almost perfect, except for as gash on the front. This ski is stock except for the ocean pro ride plate and K&N filter and SS prop. All the padding is perfect, and it has new hydro turf in the foot well. It also came with a new battery too.

Not bad, but make sure the compression's good like burton148 mentioned, you can probably get $550 for it if the guy's nice, mine was supposed to be 300, haha. Good luck with the whole thing, looks pretty good.$650
