SXR just stripped my sxr hull weighs 180 :(

i now own two sxr800.s i bought an super clean 2010 back in july and just picked up a clean 08 thats gonna be my project build. i do fiberglass for a living and plan to make a bada$$ hull so follow my posts, got the 08 today around 4 rode it for an hour and just finished completely stripping it, im aware of the sxrs weight problems so im going to fix it with a few new hull and deck design im going to try, was pretty deperessed to see that the hull and hood came in at 180 stay tuned

Ouch. just out of curiosity, what do you call stripped? No brackets, pole, steering, cables, fittings, etc?

sorry should of put that, no handpole only thing thats inside is the 4 engine mounts and that weight is without the rails and half the turf

Wow that's a heavy sucker, AM hulls come in around 100lbs lighter

i made my own my shortening the back 6 in, the top back 4in and lowered 3in, added rocker and tubbies. also reinforced alittle. after all said and done my hull and hood are at 150lbs and this is how it turned out. glad i did it
