300/440/550 Jumping Wakes and ripped all four motor mounts. HTF

I was jumping really big wakes today and ripped all four of my motor mounts loose. The motor acutely jumped over to the left and pulled the coupler apart. I was able with help from some friends to get the motor back in place a ride it back to the ramp, about 2 miles. So, how can I modify the motor mounts where this won’t happen again? I thinking some kind of straps to hold the motor from jumping and ripping the rubber mounts.

I checked there web page, don't think therer made for old school stuff. I might have to make my own.

I agree, new ones should be fine.

I've though about modifying old mounts so that the bolts go to the base metal piece instead of directly to the rubber. The rubber should still dampen vibration, right? Then the mounts would be much tougher.

just happened to ollie last weekend, I busted 2 the same day. All new mounts. check out our Ideas.

The rubber should still dampen vibration, right? Then the mounts would be much tougher.

It will dampen vibration but not allow much for torque. You will still have some radial movement but axial movement will be reduced too much.

Its quite possible they didn't all actually go at once. When one fails and you keep riding the remaing ones are being twisted and are going to go soon. The moral to that is to inspect them often.
