JSS Type4 drypipe mods

Has anybody seen or tried the Factory pipe Type4 dry modifications suggested by Jetskisolutions? They have a kit with step-by-step instructions on how to remove the "barb" on the headpipe to make the more reliable without blowing couplers...anybody try it?

no i just ran a super heavy duty 4 ply silicone coupler on mine and got 2 season out it still going strong.

I didn't remove the barb, but I did start using special nylon Orings and the copper heat temp sealant he suggested. Once I did, I didn't have anymore coupler issues. The copper sealant is kind of a pain in the arse to clean up when you do remove the pipe, but other than that, it is well worth it.

Even more important is not relying on the stock brakets to make the pipe and manifold fit together correctly. I had to hammer, massage and talk nice to mine to get it to line up right.
