The ski is:
JS 550 with an x2 motor in it.
x2 motor is stock with stock single carb, can some clarify what size the stock carb is for me?
stock x2 exhaust expansion chamber connected to js550 water box.
Ignition is from a js440, it is wired following someones diagram from either here or pwctoday, seems to work alright, there is something in there with a label on it, engine stopper. I don't know if this is a rev limiter or just part of the kill switch, it didn't seem to rev up higher with that un plugged
Can anyone tell me how many rpm the x2 is supposed to turn? or a 650 sx? I think that the carburetor is too small, i remember reading somewhere about a 28 mm carb. When i adjust the high speed jet, it doesn't make much of a difference.
The 550 pump is smaller than the x2 so i figured it would spin it faster although i never had the x2 in the water to see how that ran.
The ski runs great, idles great, you throttle on and it takes some time to rev up and seems it should keep going but stops reving. Anyone with some ideas would be appreciated.
