What size jets should I use for my ski? Single carb, stock 650 carb whatever it is... with a speedwerx pipe. Pipe is the only mod, I will be removing the choke for a primer. I do not know what jets are in it, neither did the previous owner.

Look up what Factory Pipe recommends for their type 9. Jet up one size for both low and hi, and adjust from there.

These specs would be assuming he is running duals............ not sure, but I dont think there are any specs for Jetting with a type 9, just like the B Pipe Mod Chamber, they do not provide specs for that setup.

There is no jetting specs for his set up................. look up FPP for a 95 SJ with the limited pipe (Wet - B Pipe) if the jetting specs say 140 low then put a 155 high (Just an example), figure on 15 points about high and low then go from there.

another factor is that its not a true 701, you've still got the 650 transfers, cases, and intake.

didnt you buy the engine and pipe together, so shouldnt this already be atleast close to the right jetting?

i would think you would be wanting about a 120-130 low and a 100-120 high
with about 20-30 psi popoff
i know there is a huge variation in my jets i am telling you but this is how i would start out and work from there

This is what protec recommended for my motor thats a 6m6 bored to a 701 and ported 135 main ,120 pilot ,2.0 needle and seat, 65g spring. This is with coffmans pipe. They are all different so something tells me that you are going to learn about carbs real quick.

You have to pull the little cover beside the jets and its written on the side. Its a little eisier to see than the one on the jet. The spring is determined by color. I think the 65g is silver

the spring is silver, wound clockwise. the seat is the big jet on the left, correct? and the needle "hangs" off of the little mechanism which the spring pushes against, correct?

I pulled them out, cant find any engravings.
