Super Jet Is this pump seal bad?

I have been looking into an intermittent cavitation issue with my ski since is installed my hooker 9/15. It happens in choppy water it it will cavitate an when landing back in the water for a split second. Does this pump seal look bad? There is that one area where the seal is folded over in two spots, but it almost looked made that way? If this seal is not bad is there a special direction these folded areas should face. (I.e) down, left , right etc?

Yeah I figured so, I guess sitting 13+ years like that can cause it to look that way. I mean when I say cavitate it's not horrible, it could be the rough water, or my intake not loading properly. But I have a protec top loader and I didn't have the issue with my 10/18 skat that I remember and it's only for a split second when I land and hit the throttle. It sounds like the pump is starved for water for a split second, more so when going across choppy water each time I hit a wave it does it for a split second. And it Doesnt do it on flat water, maybe its just me making up issues? But I don't remember hearing this before and the only other thing I've done is install a bilge/bracket?

I'm not a big silicone type of guy, it's messy and usually makes things worse. I've learned my lessons by the whole never enough time to do it right the first time, but always enough time to do it again. Lol
