Is riding without an intake grate any problem?

I stripped my intake grate bolts. I wont have time to get new ones before the weekend. Other then safety reasons will i have any problems? Performace wise etc? Is it possible my pump shoe will try and tear out from the water pressure?

I dont see it being a huge problem, just dont run over stuff.
