intake manni question

hey i had heard something a while back and wanted a little advice before i start my motor work. on the manni that the carbs bolt to, the crossover area that connects the airspace under the carbs, what does filling this area with jb weld do? does keeping the f/a mix from one carb from crossing over help performance in anyway? also if it does what does it improve?

and while i got it apart should i polish up the intake tracts in the manni to super smooth? what paste or gum should i use on the buffer to get best results? thanks for any help and advice

Improves pulse signal, you have to drill and attach another pulse fitting on your cases

so dont polish the intake. ok but if i fill it in and make a new pulse fitting then i'd have to run my carbs seperate, right? so mabey i should hold off on this till i get ready to put 44's on instead of 38's. thanks for the help guys
