300/440/550 installing footholds.....what to do with the fire extinguisher hole

I'm not really trying to put a whole bunch of effort into this ski.I'm just gonna put some 615 footholds.not really wanting to widen the tray.want to be able to turf over what I do so the question is what's the best way to plug the fire extinguisher hole.

What kind of ski are you talking about..?

I blocked off the storage compartment and fire ext. on my 750sx. Whoever had it before me hacked it pretty good. All i did was foam it then glass it.


Someone did a terrible glass job..


So i ripped everything off and cleaned it up.


Foamed and glassed in the holes. I had to also fix the foot holds. Im surprised everything was still sealed..


Then painted and turfed!

Its a 440.Im just doing it as kind of a learning experiance.Then when i can afford another ski next year i should be good at it lol. But Im thinking i want to cut the right side and try to mold it to be even with the left.Looks like in your first pic they didnt have foam at all in that hole lol.Looks real good you cleaned it up real good

I just did my buddy's 550 and we just cut into it and chipped out the plastic till the holds fit. after riveting them in, we just stood the ski up on the nose and pored the foam down into the hole and it worked great.
