Inline silencer question

i just bought an inline silencer for my sxr as i plan on ditching the monster stock waterbox. i was wondering if you have to inject water into them via the inlet on it, is it meant to keep the ski quiet or to keep the exhaust cool? there is water injected at the stinger of my wetpipe, plus i will be running ECWI (although wont inject water at high rpm). and if i was to inject water into it i have a T in the waterline that goes from the top of the headpipe to a pisser the T goes to my stinger on the expansion chamber. then should i just put a T into the line that goes from the waterline OUT to the stinger, and that T will be connected the silencer. i also have a flow control valve that i plan on using if i have to inject water into it. any suggestions?

also noise is no big deal, there are boats on my lake way louder than a ski can ever be.

Those things are LOUD. They are from old school ski's. I'm pretty sure that the inlet on them is to help scilence it. people usually ran two of them. Although it does make the ski have a real deep tone to it.

Definitley run water into it, it won't hurt your power.

Exactly, back that far in the exhaust stream plus the fact that it's almost a straight through path means the extra water won't really affect your power.

Noise is a big issue these days; it makes us all look bad. I have a blaster that was way too loud and every time I was on the water people looked at every pwc as if they were all too loud. What kind of mods does you boat have? A water box deletion won't do a thing but make it loud and may even hurt bottom end if you don’t have the right amount of back pressure. If you're running a full s/s then yes it may help, but if its just mild you may just lose bottom and be annoying.

I have another inline silencer if you are looking for a second, its an older style and also does not have the water inlet.

i am gonna be running a milled head, factory wet ipie, mikuni 46's taper bored by protec, my own porting, aluminum flywheel, and thats about it for now.

Goose : its pretty much straight through, but the inside has a bunch of holes in it, like an MX bike silencer.
