Infamous sj crack

I'm sure a lot of you have seen this before. If you can't tell in the pics, it does go up under the rail. What's the best permanent fix and what's the best temporary fix? I was thinking laying some 4oz mat with thickened resin, lay a deflector, and rivet it to the hull. Or do you think it might last until the ski is brought down for paint/reinforcement with moderate+ riding (i'm guess no)?

i think this crack has been around for a long time,looks to be staying the same,little deflector should work ehhh

I'm sure it's been there for awhile but that ski is finally getting inverted for the first time in its life. :biggthumpup:

if you mean thickened resin as in extra, thats bad. the more its soaked the weaker it becomes. Ideally, you want the glass to dry hard with as little resin as possible.
