Idler screw question.

My white ski doesnt have the idle control screw (Dual lamey modified 44s). Is it supposed to be like that? I was going to convert it back to being able to idle and just use a lanyard because it's hard to land a jump and hold on when the ski dies mid air, and I dont want to get hassled by the MO water patrol about it. Will any generic part work?

Dude you don't want to put that lanyard back on. It's so nice not having one. When you get airborne just get used to letting off the throttle, but keeping a little still on. You'll get used to it.

I'm having the opposite problem. Check out the thread before this one. I've got an airleak and my ski revs up really high when out of the water.

put the idle screw in, and let it idle a little ( so it dies after 30 seconds or so in the water)

and forget the lanyard.

its just a screw man!

figure out the diameter and thread pitch, and go buy one.

oh... .I see, you want that TEE handle bling BS to go with your magic pumpkin ski.

those carbs are silver, are you sure they are 44s?

did the screw fall out? maybe its in the bottom of the boat?

I cant imagine anyone completely removing it.

So does the spring part over the screw matter? I have no clue if they're 44's, that's what the ad that I bought them said. If it was in the bottom of the boat, one of my 18 bilge pumps would probably have gotten it... but I'll keep looking for it!

Anything wrong with a T handle?:Banane01:

I think the spring keeps it tensioned so it doesnt vibrate out.

Im no shopping guru, but I would bet you could find a spring locally too.

Here in NW Arkansas we have this cool place called 'LOWES'

you might prefer Home Depot, you know the color and all.

why do you care if the great pumpkin idles?

Tee handles are cool, thats what all the Fayetteville girls use.
