The ski will just not run right. It ran fine ever since i got it back together about a month ago. I was riding one day and it started acting up, got back to the dock and it would run itself out of gas idling. Took the carbs apart everything is fine pop-off is 21psi with 2.0 N&S and 95gram spring. Put them back on, but still did it. Check my reeds, there was a few pedals with slightly chipped ends, replaced them, and still nothing. Finally replaced the check valve and it idles now and thought it was running fine, but started running bad after about 10-15 minutes, the ski starting running bad again, so i found there was a pin hole in my tank seeping air and when the fuel level dropped below is when it started acting up. Put in a new fuel tank took it out and was running great for about a half-hour, was spinning in a tailstand then pulled out of it and it came back again. Basically what the ski is doing is on low-end it feels like it's misfiring but it's not intermitent, it is a consitent misfire and when i get passed that and when i get on the top-end and just hold the ski wide open it feels how a ski feels after it injests some water and clean very short bursts of clean power will kick in and out intermitently at WOT. My fuel filters are fresh and clean, and I am stumped at this point. I am beginning to think it is electrical at this point.
Here is what my setup is: I have daul 44's with 64X intake manifold(crossover blocked off), Jr. ported, ADA Head-pump gas, b-pipe with mod chamber, msd enhancer, lightened flywheel. My plugs have both been dark tan and wet, the same color they have always been since i put the ski together, but just today after i came back to the dock, i was holding the ski wide open up against the dock for about 10 seconds it was running the same way and breaking up, checked the plugs and they were dry.
I need help with this i am stumped. Someone reply asap!!!
