Too bad you can't just walk in to my shop I have lots of them! I most likely will never use, I have no need to use them in any freestyle motors I build now.
P.S. Why do you need one so high? Do you have too big needle valve?

I think so, the 44 in my 650 has a 2.5n/s, 120 low, 170 main, 65gram spring now. It runs fine and idles ok, but blubbers off idle and will load up at low rpm. On the high side, I get perfect color even with my new SJ chamber. Not sure why, but it pulls so much better than the old Coffmans.:Banane01:

Yes, 2.5 is way too big on that set-up. They better way to go is to use a smaller needle valve and keep a 65/80 gram spring. Carbs like it a lot better this way instead of too big valve and too much spring.

Yeah run at the most a 2.0 I had a 1.5 with an 80g spring when I had my x-2 with similar jetting to what you have and a similar setup to what you have and it ran crisp.

I think your main is way too big as well. Are you sure it's a 170 main?

It should be down somewhere around 135 - 145.

Doug
Yes 170 main, plugs are perfect and it runs great on top. I have a 1.5 n/s and 80 gram spring I could put in there, it tested at 34psi. The 2.5 and 95 gram spring in there now tested at 18.5psi. I thought I had the shiny silver spring, but it must be the 95 as it is longer than the 80 and tested higher. Anyone think my low jet is too big? Gorilla thinks I should drop from 120 to 105. This is the first time I have messed with popoff and the low jetting, thanks for the help.

Try it out. But I think if it runs acceptably with a 120 pilot, dropping it to 105 will bring it to its knees.

Douglee - what are you basing your call about a 170 main being too big on? I would agree on a Superjet motor, but the Kawi motor may have very different requirements.
I don't know either way - but I wonder if you do. (If so, plz share the wealth!

Good point, I do know the SJ 44's are slightly different also than the aftermarket SBN's, that may be why. Seems like I read Group K recommended up to 220 main on their modded Kawi 650's to avoid seizure. Mine has stock porting (I think) and is perfect with the 170.

The Kawi cylinders' porting is geared toward higher RPM powerband than SJ engines, so a higher main makes sense.

Grrrr. I was thinking SJ when I posted that. Crab is probably on the right track. I seem to recall my SXI taking about 147.5's on the main with a dual carb setup.

And my SXR duals have the 152.5 mains, thats where I am going to rob the 1.5n/s and 80 gram spring from to try in my 44.
