I am debating of tossing my weber motor. Doing either a 951 hydrodoo. Or yamaha 760?

Would anyone might have the engine conversion plates for sale?

Wouldn't the 1100 be too heavy? I saw online guys running the 951 seadoo.

A Seadoo 951 weighs 135 lbs the Kawi 1100 reportedly weighs 189 lbs , Kawasaki 900 , 146 lbs , Another source from a New Zealand mini boat site says it weighs 86 KG or 189 lbs also , that weight is with the carbs and exhaust attached , I am not sure what was attached on that Seadoo motor , but I have seen shipping weights on the motor itself anywhere from 120 -135 lbs , add a starter , carbs , flame arrestors and exhaust system - waterbox in the mix , and you are right in the same ballpark , that Seadoo exhaust is a damn heavy piece .

I have a Hydrospace with a 951 and my friend has one with the 1100 triple. I personally feel the handling of the 951 powered hydrospace is way better than the 1100 powered version. Also my 951 without a water box is much more bearable than the 1100 without a watebox. There's no room for a waterbox on the 1100 unless you go centerbleed and over the top and into a custom waterbox like I did with my Bullett Racing Hydro with the 1100 . Example of the "over the top" exhaust routing on my Bullett Racing 1100 Hydrospace.

951 was on my list. More accessible, but electronics are a pain. How did you deal with the the oil injection system?

Would you have engine mount plates and ada adapter

You could always run a Zeel , there are some curves out there for it , then you can ditch all the Seadoo electronics and the stator and go total loss or it's simple enough to run the stator and a voltage regulator rectifier for battery charging if you want it .

I run a zeel with mine and did my own curve as there really isn't alot of timing curve information out there for the 951. I ditched all the Seadoo electronics and running a Kawi 750 SX box and electronics. Deleted the oil injection. I didn't make the adapter plate as it came with the hull. I purchased the couplings from an individual.
With the 951 your major concern will be a pipe, Coffmans or Rossier will have to be modified to fit. Search the webs for the pipe mod. My pipe was cracked and weld repaired by the previous two owners.
A 951 is a tight squeeze.

Sorry what is a zeel?

The stock pipe won't fit?

My understanding is it will not fit without serious cutting and welding , look in the link below for the info on the Zeel ignition , there are several more very indepth threads here on it as well .

Have you considered a Yamaha 800 engine , 125 HP and might be a better fit in there , I know it's not a popular choice but I thought I would throw it out there.

Form all the engine swaps I have done the Hydrospace / 951 swap is the most difficult. If you are not mechanically inclined and without machining capabilities I would sell what you have and look for a completed SXR1100 swap, that's if you're looking for a buoy chaser.
If you are mechanically inclined, as mentioned earlier, Chris @ C57 Racing has the 1100 swap components. With the 1100 remember the waterbox.

Yes Yamaha 800 power valve motor , I have no way to know without looking and or test fitting but it might go in there in it's lay down configuration , that pipe does not take up nearly as much real estate as 951 pipe does and looking where they ran the pipe to on the left side it already exits on that side of the ski , there are reasonably fast and if you ditch the 800 cylinders and put 1300NPV cylinders on it you get a bigger engine with no power valves.

This is a good option. Just thinking if anyone made or makes a driveshaft adapter. And how to deal with engine mounts.

You are going to have to become quite friendly with your local machinist on that one.
