SX/SXi/SXi Pro hydro turf

i am in the process of installing my hydro turf i brushed the contact cement on one side of the turf and on the ski were its goin i let it sit for a 10 mins tell it got kinda tacky and wen to install it and it wouldnt stick so i tried to brush it on and then stick it and it wont hold to the side of the ski

why wont it stick? any advice would help

turf needs a couple coats beacause it soaks in
allow 20 minutes, until it is almost dry
and then a rubber mallet to hammer it in place

make sure ur using the DAP Welwood RED can of contact cement..the green can is garbage

98 sxi pro you were exactly right i went to the hardware store and bought the green can bcz it said non flammable i figured who knos mayb it will make a difference i tried using it and it wouldnt stick for it reminded me alot like elmers wood glue so today i went and switched cans from green to red at the hardware store and installed my turf earlier but the red works 10xs better than green, green wouldnt even stick
