650/X-2 hydro turf

Im getting ready to re turf my 89 650sx, im gunna do the side walls the floor and the bumpers. Now on the side walls do I wanna take the old vinyl off an go strait to the hard fiberglass or glue it right to the vinyl???????? Any help would be great

I'm about to do mine also....first time doing it. I think usually the side panels would be removed, and then turf direct to the walls. I plan on doing the 2 hood pads, chin pad, bumpers, dash pad, tray sides. Removing the bumpers. I am going to shave the chin pad down, turfing the chinpad. The chinpad turf will be a bit tricky I suspect...we'll see what happens lol.

Trash the vinyl sides and turf directly to the ski. Use a heat gun to mold which results in less cuts. There's a thread in the tech section on doing in one piece, read it and go to town.
