Is it easy enough to use hydro turf b-stock to do the rails on my ski (650sx) or should i get a rail turfing kit. Would you guys say its alright just to fill all the old mounting hardware holes paint and then apply the turf right to the ski? prob a stupid question.

just order B Stock, get a straight edge or tape, cut the material about 1/2" wider than you need, sand the rails really good, you dont have to worry about the holes, or you could put a dab of silicone in there for peace of mind. Glue (note, sand back side of turf as well), use a rubber mallet to help fuse to turf to the hull, trim excess below the bond line at a 45 degree angle, then take a block sander and sand smooth.
