Super Jet Hull Repair Advice

Long story short, I decided to refurbish the bottom of my '97 RN. In the process of stripping off the gelcoat I found two cracks. There is no obvious sign of of damage from being hit, looks more like stress cracks. After cutting the hole for the foothold I could see that the crack does go all the way through. I plan to reinforce that area from the inside but what is the best course of action for the outside?IMG_4297.JPG IMG_4298.JPG IMG_4299.JPG

I'd drill the ends, then ream the entire crack out. Then, I'd take the outside of the hull(I've used gorilla tape for repairs like this because it will not go anywhere, but it won't be as smooth of a finish). Then, from the inside, fill with thickened epoxy, then reinforce it. Then you can sand the outside and use filler as needed to clean it up.

You could put a layer of glass over the outside, feather the edges, then use epoxy body fill to smooth it all out. Resin by it self is pretty weak.
