How much horsepower can the stock 3-lug driveshaft couplers handle?

it depends on what you do with them
some seem to be weak and others well not so weak
i think racing is harder on them as there is constant unloading and loading
as well alot of high rpm stuff
i run my lamey stroker with stock couplers but didnt race it and it was fine( or i was lucky)
i think its more what you put them through than just a point where they will no longer take the load
but its a good saftey thing to have done to your ski anyway
nothing like a broken coupler miles from anywhere

Yes it will
but you cant undo the coupler cover so there in lies your proplem

Thanks Wax, I was mostly looking for a little reassurance since I just sold my billet units. I'll be gentle on these stockers, I'm probably only putting out 100hp or so :cool2:
