Has this happened to anyone before? If so, why? Also, does anyone know what brand this one is? I bought this ski used.

Thats a Pro-tec nozzle. Hard to say exactly how it happened, could of been many things. You'll have to investigate, and make sure the cable still works smooth...

It probably hit a sandbar at some point. the thin cast aluminum doesn't have much flex before it cracks. They can be welded though.
