Correct ceramic is for high temp. Powder Coating will resist flexing and denting better than ceramic will.Ceramic Coating is usually for high temp applications I believe.

Another thing to remember is any corossion that start's under the edge of any topcoat will keep tunneling.
Damm that's a good idea, I didn't think of it like that thank's Mick. This is very true, that is why I chamfer every sharp edge on my cases and cylinder before I paint or coat them. The 90 degree edge is the enemy and the birth of corrosion.

I actually learned that from when I worked for a coating company. Tungsten carbide thermal spray. I think every coating has a tendency to chip at any sharp corner, edge.
Go here http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/42384/post-568606#post568606and you can see what I did to my 760, as well as my 701 that is being coated now. I didnt post any pics of that one though, but I went even more overboard on it.
not a prob.
Ceramic coating scratches real easy and it's more suited for exhaust parts.
If you want the powder coating or paint to last in salt water you need to use a zinc rich primmer first.
