how to get wires thru stator plate ( superjet)

I need to remove the coils from a stator plate, and I cant get that grommet to sllide on the wire.

what in the hell is the trick to this?

grease.

it might help to heat the grommet up a little. maybe a hair dryer or heat gun... even a lighter.

I use Wd40 pry the hole open with a pick tool or small screw driver and stick the hose from the can in there. Oh yeah watch your eyes.

so it IS in fact supposed to slide.
I fuigured that was the case, but I didnt want to force it and break ( like I usually do )

the new WD40 doesnt burn nearly as well as the stuff from several years ago in my experience.

I normally use cooking oil ( like PAM) on stuff like that anyway

its flammable too though.

I will try tomorow and see what I can do with it.

Completely agree. In fact, there are times when I truly wonder if WD40 is flammable at all?? Back in the day, I used to be able to get lawnmower engines to fire off of WD. Today, you can't even get a kick out of it. I usually just stick with carb cleaner for that:biggrin:

back in the day when i would run out of aerosol hair spray for my potatoe gun i would fire it off with some WD40... not any more
