How to disassemble pump

Put a 2x4 on the ground. Point the spline end towards the ground. Commence downward motion hitting the spline side on the 2x4, H ave the shaft pop out the back. It will not go out the front, there is a lip built into the housing.

And wear gloves. It’s hard on the hands.

HEAT.... Heat the housing with a torch, and as said above tap on the ground. Get the housing hot, and the shaft/bearings will come right out the back side.
 
As John said, heat the housing but only the hub, no need to heat the large part of the housing. Probably goes without saying but thought I should add that. Without heat they can be a bear to move, the hub will grow a lot when it’s warm.
