no less than 10v.. If it cranks it should run.. The amperage draw of a starter is way higher than MSD would ever pull..

My msd takes over 12v.I've found that if my battery drops,the starter will still turn over, but no spark.hook a charger to it and the spark comes back.but that's on an old school 4270.
