How hot does your riva red pipe get?

I finally got my ski together and rode for a few minutes than stopped and looked under the hood and noticed my pipe was HOT enough to make water sizzle. Is there an outlet that sprays water inside the pipe that could be clogged?

I ran a cooling line from the pump to the exhaust manifold out the head onto the lower fitting on the pipe, out the upper fitting and to the stinger with a tee going to the pisser, which water was coming out of the whole time.

Considering it's a fully jacketed pipe, it shouldn't be thaaaat hot?

I don't think it's fully jacketed, only on the manifold and the first part of the pipe. My F'in exhaust hose is seperating too.

take the front water outlet out and clean the hole under it
there is a little squirter under there and they corrode up

Mine is doing the same thing, where exactly is the front water outlet you are talking about, sorry to sound like such a newbie

I'll do that, but I don't think that's the issue. I had the ski sitting in the water, pulled off the stinger hose and water ran (pretty freely) out of the fitting.

under the first fitting on the chamber there is a pin hole to allow water to go into the pipe
take the pipe fitting out and have alook under it
the water will still flow if thats blocked it just will not flow into the pipe
and it just flows into the water jacket only
