Super Jet how do you take the impeller off the drive shaft?

Stupid question but for some reason I can not figure out how the impeller comes off the drive shaft. I am sending it out to get repaired and can't figure out how to take it off. Wanted to know if it is easy and its just stuck or if it is threaded on?
Thanks,
Jordan

It's reverse-threaded.
You need a spline holder tool, the appropriate impeller tool, and a long wrench or pipe or other cheater bar.

I forgot!
i use an old midshaft as my spline holder and still put a pipe wrench on the driveshaft. i also had to weld a wrench to the prop removal tool to make it handle the torque i was putting on it. and a big cheater bar. the pipe wrench will burr the shaft so if your picky then don't use one, or just file it off after like i do. my last prop removal was the toughest i have done and that was why i beefed up the removal tool.

A friend and I put my pump in a shopping cart and went into lowes and "barrowed" some big a$S monkey wrenches and a fence post. Popped it loose in the middle of one of the aisles and then left.

blow torch the prop then ice it a couple of times to break it loose before you kill yourself or break something.

i just went threw this not to long ago and mine was stucker than poop! it was the stock impeller on the stock pump and i dont think it has ever been off before. i put the prop in a vise and used an impact on the spline tool. thats the easiest way i have found.

Heat the bloody crap out of it but don't melt the rubber bushing behind the impeller. Lots of heat....lots

No.

For the driveshaft, you need a Yamaha driveshaft holder tool.
Then you also need the appropriate prop tool, which varies between manufacturers.
