Yesterday was the first bike ride of the year that I'd classify as 'Hot'. Just hot, took me 20 minutes to finally feel like I cooled off after I got home. The heat index was around 105F I think.

Hot. That's all.

Careful Jett. Heat stroke is no joke and it creeps up on u like CO2 narcosis.

I was drinking plenty of water all day and during the ride and kept it down to only 45 minutes, but still, it was hot. I've never hit heat exhaustion or stroke yet and don't plan on it, though have been around some people that have and it's no joke that's for sure.

... HEAT INDICES 100 TO 105 DEGREES THIS AFTERNOON...

THE COMBINATION OF HEAT AND HUMIDITY WILL TAKE AFTERNOON HEAT INDICES INTO THE 100 TO 105 DEGREE RANGE OVER MOST OF THE FOUR STATE REGION. IF WORKING OR PLAYING OUTDOORS THIS AFTERNOON... BE SURE TO DRINK PLENTY OF LIQUIDS... AND TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS... PREFERABLY IN AN AIR CONDITIONED FACILITY.

and to top it off all of our ac units at work are froze up now

I hope so. Still a nogo as of now. Maybe they will thaw over night. At least the shop is still running cold and it's just us office punks that are suffering.

I've lived in the Houston Galveston area for years so I know what humidity/heat index is like. Moved to Ft Mohave/Bullhead and thought no big deal. I was way off. That desert heat is waaaayyyyy worse. 126 for real not no heat index. Last I checked you ain't frying no eggs with heat index

GASKETS FOR CHAMP BRAP!
Sure its dry here for 9 months of the year, but starting around July 1st to around the end of September is called the monsoon season here. It gets humid for 3 long ass months and we get some big rains that can come in the afternoon, then you want to talk about hot and humid the next day? Holy crap!
