After bolting my engine back together last night, I thought I would check the little oil holes in the top half of the crank case to make sure everything was lined up, even though the guide pins made sure of this.
Anyway, I know the two middle bearing don't have oil galleries, and the front bearing was lined up ok. I was a little surprised to find that the rear bearing did not have the oil gallery hole lined up.
So, I rip the engine apart and do a dry fit, but again, even though the bearing was in the locator pin, the oil gallery didn't line up with the hole. Upon further inspection, I find there to be no oil hole in the rear bearing!!
I'm not sure if this is normal for a Hot Rods crank or not, but if so, how the hell are the middle and rear bearings lubricated? It seems a little strange to me to be honest. I thought I would check this out before I put the cylinders back on.
Any insight into this would be super!
Thanks,
Leigh
