Hooker on a SJ650?

Buddy got his first ski and it still has the stock impeller. Anyone run a 9/15 hooker on an SJ with the 650 engine? Is it too much prop for the ski? Any other recommendations for a low end impeller? And anyone have a shaved or a/m 650 head for sale?

Just bought this for my backup ski. Its priced really good and there is a thread about it, and seems pretty good. Ill try it out this week and see how it works.

9/15 Hooker may be a little too much unless it has a pipe. A skat Freeride would work good. Lowest pitch or older solas I series

I got a stock stainless pipe used from JM for a great price. Ran it until I got my solas with my B-pipe, now its on my blaster. Better to run a stockish straight blade prop on a stock boat and set aside the savings for a pipe.

Putting a 9/15 hooker was the biggest performance boost to my 650 SJ. Literally a night and day difference, and if you upgrade to a 701, is still a great prop. I added a pipe afterwards and it was a noticeable improvement, but not on the same level as swapping out the stock prop. The stock aluminum prop is garbage.
