Hood Seal OEM, Correct Install Procedure ?

just got my OEM B-1 HOOD seal and would hate to F^%$ it up , should I use contact cement ,or something that stays wet for a while so it sets up after closing and seating the hood . If no replys Ill just wing it !

Thanks Ill try that .... I just cleaned and prepped the channel tonight .. without glueing it down the hood drops right where it is supposed to on the seal '' temperary fitting session '' it was $113 shipped and worth every cent...just to keep from wrestling the hood to make a good seal the old seal was a pain in the azz and hard as a rock

my friend runs his with no glue, makes it easier to keep it from getting crushed from the hood not being closed correctly too...

well I ended up doing things a lil diff, I installed the seal for one day without any glue with the hood clamped down , temp was in the 80's, when i opened the hull the next day the seal had formed to a much better fitment in the channel then when i first yanked it from the package , then I glued it down with the contact cement and packed up for the ride . so mine is glued now ............... Im %100 liking my OEM seal and wont go cheap on seals again. all those other xtra aftermarket seals i bought will now be used protecting My fuel cans from bouncing in their racks cause thats what that other ''make do'' foam is best at doing , this is just like a Mikuni carb kit it fits perfect and wont disapoint , It just makes sense...''buy OEM or stay in flatwater !''.... Oh yea ,I Hope you leg heals good Cult ,that one sounds like its kinda bad !
