Home made handlepole.

A friend of mine built based on RRP pole.

It is not for sale and also the cost was even higher than a brand new adjustable already known as the best pole..... RRP.

I am just posting it just to show off.

Looks heavy duty... but very nice!

Suva, I think yours would look sweet with a flat plate on top covering the tubes, maybe wrap it around the tubes and tac it to the bottom or something... just an idea.

if i knew how to weld I'd try to make something liek waterdawgs pole. its schweet!

the RRP doesn't do it for me. I think it looks brutal and for me, consistancy of the machine is key, I wouldn't want an adjustable pole.

gera- did he happen to mention the labor vs the material costs? cause I can't imagine it cost that much for the metal- I have been toying with making one just haven't had a sec.

adjustable is good- how do I know how much is enough to cut off? I'm minus 4 and I think I want to take off some more. plus what if I am more comfortable riding wiht a longer pole in cetain conditions and a shorter one in others. I want to give it go. maybe in the winter.

I play with alluminum sometimes and I agree it is pretty cheap but U have to consider: a guy that cuts, a guy that makes the rounded areas, another guy welds..., I know it can be just one but... What I mean is that it is too much R&D for U to pay others to do the job...

I never had a RRP pole but I think it looks cool and the adjustable feature is killer.

I did see guys in the past building poles using tubes (like these on this thread) just to save money and make it easier.

So... Any adjustable pole will be awesome following everybody's opinion.

yeah I had already kinda figured after tig welding my first part that the amount of time involved is not gonna be something I can make to sell but a one off for me- sure. I have very little time but I have absolutely no money so 600-800 for a pole- ain't happenin. now 100- 200 beans in aluminum- done!
