you buying or renting? the lake mary, sanford, altamonte springs areas are about 60 miles west of Daytona. that is considered north orlando. you also have east orlando, the university area, oviedo, etc. and that's about 65 =75 miles from cocoa beach. above mentioned are all considered greater orlando metro area. you still have south orlando(sux!) and west orlando which i am not to familiare with. drop me a line when you move down here, we'll go hit some of our local spots.:biggthumpup:

The most important factor to where you should live is where you work. You DO NOT want to be stuck in a regular commute with the rest of Orlando. I work in Sanford and live in Debary. I can be downtown in 25 minutes or on New Smyrna Beach in 45. So where is the new job?

he does have a valid point. O-lando traffic is some of the worst traffic i've seen. stick to the northern parts of orlando out towards the east coast definetly your best bet.

Kawidad, yes I do ride in the St John's around Sanford/Debary when I can't get to the surf. I recently met a local jetski mechanic whose son competes. Where do you ride?

I don't know much about living near the airport other than that's the tourist end of things. I personally would never live down there for any reason, but a good friend of mine works across the street from universal and lives in the area you're talking about. I think he's in Dr. Phillips (yeah that's the name of a community).
