help with cooling lines

701, with an old coffman sizzler pipe.

lots of dang water line fittings on this pipe, I cant remember where they go.

2 outlets in the head, one in the exh manifold. 2 in the head pipe, one on the stinger.

whats the basic theory of this?

single line coming in from pump by the way.
it always ran nice and cool with the 650, never melted any couplers or anything.

I was thinking:

water into exh manifold, out head to head-pipe, out of head pipe to stinger with the pisser Teed in before teh stinger?

sound about right? or will that melt stuff?

If you are just running one line: go into the exhaust manifold first, then it will travel through the cylinders and come out the head, route that line to the bottom of the head pipe, route the top fitting on the head pipe to the stinger with a t-fitting going to a 4mm pisser.

If you cut that line to short it wants to kink. Also notice there are no clamps. It was the first fitting after the build and hadn't cleaned it up yet :wink:

that is exactly what I needed, I was wondering about the dual nipples on the head too, so the front one is just another pisser huh?

what is feeding the pisser on your left hand side ( standing on the ski)?

I dont see the TEE anywhere that you are talking about?

the second fitting on the head is for another pisser if youre running dual cooling. either cap it off, put a flush kit on it or tee the two lines coming out of the head together for more even flow and cooling in the head.

The other pisser is coming off the fitting on the side of headpipe next to manifold. No tees involved. Im also running single cooling

I have my lines setup like jetskiking. Copied his pic from the other site last fall. Should I put a tee fitting between the head pipe and stinger going to a pisser? The lines on the ski were completely different when I got it.

where does that go?

normally, it goes to the stock pipe. i always fill that line with silicone and crimp it.

Not sure how coffman has it setup, but for single cooling w/ a b pipe I would have the line go into the manifold, but tee it and have both sides of the manifold tapped, then come out of the head with your two lines and tee them back together. (That gives you equal cooling on both cylinders) Then run that line into the bottom of the pipe. Then come out of the top of the pipe and have it tee into the stinger & pisser.


I know your pipe is different but thought the pic of the engine might help.
