Hey everyone. New here and new to stand ups. Tried a 87 jw 550 and loved it so I bought a 08 superjet. Has some bolt on stuff I can tell. I don’t know much about what each part is and all that stuff yet. Reading a lot trying to learn. So I’m wanting to strip out the turf, sand the ski down fix the chips and some small holes around the engine bay that go from outside into engine bay like something was mounted there at one time. Then I want to paint it and I’d like to get foot holds. I was a dealership technician for GM for 8 years and been in insurance for 2 years now with car collision stuff. I don’t do body work I work for an insurance company writing estimates in the field. So I can turn a wrench and am around body work but don’t perform it. I’d like the most info on maybe replacing foam under tray and resealing and easiest to install footholds with the least amount to fiberglassing and all that. Any info is appreciated. Seems to be a toooooon of knowledgeable people on here from reading. Btw from Asheville NC we ride the lakes. I have a moonba lsv wake boat, can’t afford a full blown flat water flip ski like I want right now so just trying to make the super jet a little better for time being.
