help/advice superjet stalling

Hey guys, so a buddy of mine has a 650 an superjet he just got and has been having a problem where it runs perfect out of the water, but when it's in the water it runs and will idea but when you start to get on the throttle it works for a second or too then just shuts off, we put a different carb on it and no difference. If anybody had any ideas for what it could be please let me know, and I am pretty sure it is something electrical and not fuel related because It's not like it is stalling but more of shutting off quickly, like you were to hit the stop switch. Thanks guys.

Only idea I had was the engine temp thing is shutting it off but that was just a guess because when I had a 650 the guy said he had to cut it off because it did not work correctly

It will either be fuel or maybe a damaged waterbox? might be filling the exhaust, if it runs good out of the water. what do the plugs look like?

Check the reserve fuel on / off switch , I had the same problem years ago and found out it was the fuel selector switch corroded inside.
replace and check it out ...
Replace plug wires , might be old causing a load...
