Super Jet Head Gasket (which side up?)

Afternoon,

Blew head gasket this summer. Ordered a new one online (SBT) but nothing came in the package indicating which side is right side up. I know that sometimes it's labeled but the only difference between the sides (that I can see) is a pattern. I will upload a few pics of the new and old. The left cylinder was the side where my first gasket blew but I am not sure if the original gasket was flipped or not. Only indication is the one image i attached with the arrow. I think it was painted so that the grey on the tab was pointed up. Does anyone have any experience with SBT gaskets?

The tab on the back of the cylinder is where the tab on the head gasket will be positioned.

O shoot so SBT may have installed the gasket wrong (original setup was the pic with the arrow)

I wouldn't be surprised.

its up side down in the pic of it on the cyl. the side that has the 2 smaller thermostat holes always goes on the exhaust side so that water just doesn't come in and go up and out the 2 bigger holes and not cool the opposite side of the cyl on the intake side.
