hard warm starting problem

my backup ski 550 doesnt want to fire when the engine has been ran for a while or is warm. It will start right after its turned off but a few minutes or longer and it takes my magic touch that none of my friends or my girlfriend has. The ski starts no problem when cold and it also has a primer. Primer doesnt seem to help when warm, sometimes I'll give it full throttle and hold the start for a while and I can just feel it wanting to blip and finally it will after a few tries. Ski runs fine, havent checked the plugs yet but if they are oily at all would that rich mixture cause this to happen and if so how do I fix it on the 44bn carb.

Very normal for piston port 550's to do that with older BN44's You'll need rebuild the carb (USE ONLY A GENUINE MIKUNKI KIT) and there is a welsh plug (flat-freeze) on the carb that have a habit of leaking all the time and needs to be sealed with 2-part epoxy!! Make sure you replace the needle valve assembly too as these carbs use low pop-off and needle valves leak very easy with just the slightest wear. Now your really making me feel old! :headbang:
