Super Jet grrrr electrical issues.

Was gonna go ride today, my ski wouldnt start, i just started it the day before, so i thought it was the battery hooked it up to the truck, nothing, Jumped the ignition switch over, guess it was the right wires all i got was a spark, took the ebox out and apart, jumped the starter relay it just sparked, touched the brown and black wires from relay to battery, felt a lil click, hooked starter to battery, nothing, :261: Where should i look next. I took the fly wheel cover off, can turn motor over no problem, the only thing i did to it the day before was put a straight fitting on my head pipe for b. pipe and put a metal t for the stinger. i topped it off with fuel, let the fuel go down, put some more in did this several times

Correct me if I am wrong but, If you hook the starter right up to the battery and it doesnt turn over wouldnt that be a dead starter? Cause if you get the click and when you try to jump the starter relay and only get a spark then it would be the starter. But check your grounds too.

yeah was deffinately the starter. Locked down tighter than fort knox, But i aint complaining its the original starter thas been on it since i bought it in 96, Think all it needs is a good cleaning. And i was also very happy since im running b pipe, i didnt have to pull motor, To get it off, just pull head pipe off. :Banane13:

you can pull the starter out without removing the pipe at all. I just pulled mine two days ago on my SN. Only thing I took out was the gas tank cause I had to pull the front cover to change out the bendix.

lol well know i know, i was going to pull the whole motor, but go figure its always like this, when ever u gotta work on the thing where u gotta pull gas tank out and all that bs, its funny the fuel tank is almost always full. Just hope i can get the shaft cleaned up, think that front needle bearing is froze up but not real sure cuz the shaft has crap built on it.
