Other GoPro use on 750 Sxi Pro

Hello all,

My wife just bought me a GoPro for my birthday and I'm new to using it on the ski.

I bought a strap that allows me to attach it to a vented bicycle helmet and that works but quite honestly I look really stupid wearing it around the lake!

Looking for some tips on the best way to mount the camera to the ski (side of hood or handle pole?) or a helmet for the coolest vids.

Also, if you use a helmet when riding what kind do you recommend? We do some surf jumping in Lake Michigan so we honestly should be wearing them anyway.

I bought the Giro cipher but the 661 is a lot less money and people seem to be just as happy with it.

Are you guys using the go pro 3M stick on mounts on your skis?

I used the stick on mounts that come with the GoPro. One on the hood and one on the pole. Both work great. Be sure to get the orange floaty for the case so it doesn't sink if it comes off. It won't though as the 3m tape is strong. As for the helmet. I got a Bell mountain bike helmet from my local bike shop $75. Works nice and drains/drys well too. 3m sticky mount on top of the helmet too.
