Custom/Hybrid GoPro mount thought

Has anyone considered glassing in an enclosure on a handlepole to mount a GoPro? I'm thinking of a small pod that would have the camera close to level when in a normal riding position and it would have straps to hold the camera in. Seems like it would work really well and significantly reduce the chances of losing the camera.

Thoughts? Pros/cons? Stupid?

Save yourself the time and go with some billet.
I dont have this personally but i read quite a few positive reviews in another thread

Yeah make life easy and get the cold fusion mount. I've pancaked at 25' and it didn't even move. If it hasn't broke from me..... Than it's good.
