I've been looking at a few lately but don't know which one is good.
Just got the bike bug a few days ago so I'm still a newb.

Looked a few bikes today and 29" wheels are sweet.

mtbr.com is where I normally read, but rarely post. It's huge, so you kind of have to find a few forums that interest you and just read them. I read the Families, Lights, KHS, Motobecane, and sometimes dig around Passion and Beginners. Other than that a local to your region would be best IMO.

to find riding spots, maps, etc I use Singletracks.com. They have a forum also, and it's pretty comprehensive.
