Custom/Hybrid going to do 300sx build and i need help!!

i got a 300sx complete ski with broken motor mounts. he says it ran last year but whatever im going to put a diff motor in it... im trying to see if its even worth it these days... im hoping to get a 650 or 750 motor and a pipe and carb but how much work and money does it take to switch?

It does not require a lot of money but it is a lot of work, if you are not familiar with using epoxy resin and glass cloth don't attempt it as a pump swap is mandatory as well as strengthening the bulkhead area.

Well if I put a 550 in there would I? I read somewhere that some have the same pump

You have the same pump as a 440, its small and is a high RPM pump, it works well in nothing except a race ski that turns a zillion RPM's been there done that have the t-shirt

Was this the one for $100 on CL in Manteca? If so you got it before I could. Good luck on the build.
