not sure if this is the right section for this, but here goes.
riding last weekend (in the ocean) i noticed when i landed from a large wave i got this sensation through my right hand, at first i thought it was me, then i noticed it did'nt happen all the time and i was actually getting shocked. i have a aftermkt throttle on the ski but as far as engine wise its all stock. what the hell would cause me to get shocked through the finger throttle?

Or the something has rubbed thru a bilge pump wire or motor. That happened to me when a bilge pump came loose & the driveshaft rubbed a hole thru the housing and motor case enough to expose & wear thru the motor windings.

you got some wire chafing somewhere. start with the st/stop switch. work your way down. obviously it is moving around when you land.

I have never been shocked by 12 volts....are you sure you dont have carpel tunnel or something? Well .....i guess it could happen if your hands were really wet.....after all a 9volt will shock the hell out of your tongue right?

lol thats the truth!! salt water makes the little electrical demons come out!!
Beside Mr. Deamon in attendance we have Whity powder man, Bob the barnicle, flaky the paintboy and Rusty is alway present.

But gawd, I wouldn't have it any other way :Banane09:

BTW: As already stated, check the on/off/kill switch. You could also have a ground loop issue and you much check the grounds (at batt, starter and lugs in electrical box). I've seen battery cables break in the middle of the cable and unless you put an load test on it, it can fool ya.
