Super Jet Gastank Installation Tips?

Just attempted to get my gas tank to sit far enough back to get my battery into the hull. I have tried putting spacers against my water-box to push it further up, but no matter what I do I can't seem to get the tank to budge. I just finished installing my B pipe and would appreciate any tips.

Thinking of using a reverse clamp to push the tank away from the motor, but I am concerned if it would break the tank. Let me know your thoughts,

sounds like the filler is not engaging in the filler hose which is stopping you pushing the tank back

Superjet?

Yes, sorry for the horrible initial post. Rookie mistake.

The original fuel filler hose is connected to the tank, however, there seems to be around 1" more that it should be, but can't get it to happen.
I will post a picture of it the morning.
