Custom/Hybrid Gas oil question

Hey guys been a while since I've been on here last season I finished building my rickter and near the end of the season was getting water leaking in from I think the coupler, I finally had some time this season to take out the motor and empty the hull to do a water test to find the leak and I noticed when I went to take the gas out of the tank it looked black! I'm still very new to stand ups and gas oil mixes is this normal color? I do t remember it being like this when I put it in last season.

What kind of oil do you use? If you use a darker oil like Pensoil, Quicksilver, Amsoil etc it's perfectly normal.

If your not sure, start with new fuel/oil! Dont risk anything!

I use Amsoil intercepter Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil, Ill take a look it might be a bit darker, I was just worried im not sure if its true or not i have the black see though gas lines and from what i was told once is they dont hold up well and deteriorate so i was not sure if that's what was happening and the black was going into the gas. I will differently make up new gas/oil mix.
