FX-1 FX-1 Question???

This question applys to people that have driven a all Stock FX-1 and a modded FX-1!

Should a 1994 FX-1 with a westcoast 160 psi head and Factory B-pipe Kill/destroy a Stock 1994 FX-1???

I have a stock FX-1 and a modded(head & B pipe) FX-1 and they are both pretty similar as far as power/speed??

Is the 122 pump the reason??

If so, It seems as though the aftermarket parts are not even worth it unless you do the pump conversion first!

My Stock FX-1 also has a pretty narly exhaust tone compared to other stock superjets i have owned....is that normal???

the impeller looks aftermarket but I am not sure on the pitch??

the carbs are tuned proper on both and the power isnt really different like I would expect?? I just dont understand this!

Actually unless you have changed the rev limiter , a head and pipe will only help bottom end, and will usually cavitate the stock impeller

That said , In my experience there is a significant difference between a stock one and one with the basic mods of a Pipe ,rev limiter and head.

My guess is the pipe isn't tuned correctly

the water things on the pipe are:
Bottom = closed
mid = closed
top = open 2 turns or so!

Im not sure if what type of CDI rev limiter it has but I think it has been modified. When on the trailer and I full throttle it, it does not seem to hit "rev limit" like my other stock FX-1. It revs really high and I dont think I have ever heard it hit a limiter!

does it matter how I have my cooling lines set up??? I have the cooling line from the cylinder head going to the top fitting on the pipe!
