FX-1 FX-1 bogging issue

I just finished getting my fx together last week and the first day I rode it, it ran all day with no problems at all. The second day I rode it for about 10 minutes then made a small adjustment to the low speed screw (maybe 1/4 turn) which made it run perfect. I rode it for another 10 minutes after that then it bogged down and wouldn't pull past 1/4 throttle. It will stay running under quarter throttle but it very sluggish, also if I try to give it over 1/4 throttle it will bog down immediately and if I give it WOT it falls flat on its face and stalls instantly. BUT it will start right back up every time and run perfect for about 10 sec then it does the same thing (this only happens if I shut it off or it stalls, it won't run good again if I just let it idle then try to gun it). I tried riding it with the hood off to see if it was an exhaust leak but it did the same thing after 10 sec again. It seems like its losing fuel but im stumped all the fuel lines are connected with wire ties and it has a full tank of gas so I'm not sure what could be the problem unless the carb needs a rebuild?

I recently experienced the same issue with my ski. It turned out to be a dirty filter in the carb. It is a very easy fix. Less than hour for sure.

Here is link to a youtube video that I used as a reference. At the end of video, take note of the filter he pulls out. This is what gets clogged with gook and needs to be cleaned with carb cleaner. I expect this is the culprit of your issue. If not, I still recommend cleaning that screen periodically. The ski WILL run better.

Awesome.. How is your tank vent routed?

It should go out of the tank, to the water separator mounted on the left side and that's it. Get rid of the vent line going into the handlepole.

My FX1 spends a lot of time underwater :) Haven't had any issues since changing my vent to the above method.

It has a one way filter on it and it's just tucked under the rear exhaust hose.
